Non-Suburban Sprawl

This article via Philly Real Estate Blog confirms what I have been thinking and talking about a lot lately, which is that there is about to be a mass exodus from the sprawling Philly suburbs back into the city. With Mayor Nutty, getting the city back on the up and up, rising gas prices and not forgetting all of the hipsters that already headed down there, the city is looking better and better everyday that the prices are still low...

Philly Green

On 9/29/08, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter visited the Philadelphia Free Library to unvail the Library's green roof demonstration project. This roof project is part of the Mayor's initiative to make Philadelphia one of the nation's greenest cities.

The benefits & proponents of these green roof types seem to be extensive. Check out the post and video from the Free Library Blog here.

Generation Y

(via Realtor.org)
"The genreation born between 1976 and 1982 wants high-tech convenience and communication, walkability, green building standards, and diversity. They'll sacrifice space, and some will even pay more, to incorporate those qualities into their lives, real estate experts told an audience at a recent forum on developing real estate for Gen Y, sponsored by the Urban Land Institute."
This is just another reason why I'm optimistic about the future of Philadelphia real estate. People are going to start moving into the city in the years to come and it seemingly already started...

Online Philadelphia Real Estate

I have always been interested in real estate, at least as long as I can remember.

I have been in the business for about four years now, and it still somewhat amazes me how disorganized the online content is.

While I have always been interested in real estate, I've also always been very technically savvy. This being the case, I easily came to the realization that combining these two interest could lead to good things!

So in the beginning of 2008, I finally started on my mission to create an effective and simple local Philadelphia web-base real estate community, bryanslist.org. (Read more here)

Please check back with the blog & and site, as they will be constantly updating and upgrading.
